Actors Radhika Pandit and Yash have been in a steady relationship for the last six years but the couple feel like they fell in love just yesterday.

Ready to tie the knot on December 10, Yash and Radhika say that finding the right partner in each other is perhaps the best thing that has happened to them. Their relationship, they say, is built on complete faith and trust in each other. On the threshold of a new life, Radhika and Yash talk to Nina C George about their journey as a couple and how they've been with each other through ups and downs.

How did it all begin?
Radhika: Yash and I acted together in 'Gokula'. That's when we became good friends and would always get talking about a lot of things including our careers, dreams and ambitions. I always knew Yash to be a very reserved person. While on the set, we would all mingle with each other but I always found Yash sitting by himself, either reading or writing something.
Yash: I always respected and admired Radhika for the person that she is. She was
always full of life. In fact, it is she who transformed me into the romantic.

What do you think is the secret of your strong bond?
Radhika: Both of us are different people. If we were similar, then we would be chasing the same things. I think it's clearly our friendship that has kept us together.
Yash: I think the friendship factor is very important in any relationship. And when you truly love someone, you don't really have to go that extra mile to make them happy. The love and sacrifice come naturally.

Life after marriage...
Radhika: A lot of people have been asking me if I would continue acting after marriage. Why wouldn't I? I have my own path which I would like to follow and I hope I would be able to even after marriage.
Yash: Radhika too had a lot of doubts about whether she would be able to continue her career. She loves her profession but she is not very ambitious because if she were then she would have moved to acting in other languages. She works within some set standards. She will continue to act.

Any advice to young couples...
Yash: It's been six years since we have been seeing each other but it feels like we fell in love just yesterday. Those in relationships should respect each other for who they are. I don't think anybody understands me better than Radhika.
Radhika: Relationships with no strings attached work best. Yash and I began as friends and we continue to remain good friends. I don't have to spell anything out to Yash, he understands what I want just from my expressions.

What is it that you both like about each other?
Radhika: He may be a rocking star but for me he is a very real person.
Yash: I like her innocence and in a lot of ways, I feel she completes me. It's like god has designed both of us to be a part of each other.

We hear that you have planned a dream wedding...
Radhika: Yash is giving me my dream wedding. It's been like a fairytale for me right from our engagement to the wedding now. He has made sure that nothing is amiss.
Yash: I never pre-planned our wedding. I just wanted to get married to her. Radhika always spoke about the smallest things that she wanted at her wedding. I think all her friends and family knew what kind of a wedding she wanted. And I wanted to make her dream wedding come true.
